Bento #3
I’ve started to appreciate FitDay PC more as I work on creating these bentos. It helped me make some good decisions that kept the calories even with the other bentos I’ve made, and fat content down. For example, I filled the gaps with fresh fruit rather than the calorie dense dried fruit and nuts I’d originally planned. I also left the oil out of my mom’s “teriyaki” marinade for the tofu. My kitchen gadgets are also getting a better workout. For this bento I used my rice cooker, george foreman grill, mandoline, and food scale.
1 cup rice
4 oz grilled tofu (in a half ketchup, half soy sauce marinade)
4 oz cucumbers and (low fat) cream
2 oz low fat cottage cheese
6 mandarin orange sections
4 sweet cherries
4 green grapes
477 calories, 11g fat, 66g carbs, 31g protein
